So I have decided to enter the world of blogging... although that's not strictly speaking true. I did have a Tumblr but that didn't go very well. Just one post and I gave up. Here's hoping that my new blog will go a little better.
So let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Halwest Hadad and... Ok, turns out I'm not very good at this, let's move on.
I'm currently on my summer holidays and it hasn't been very eventful. Apart from a few gigs and going to see Inception three times (more about that later), I haven't done much. Naturally, when one doesn't do much they begin putting on weight, as has been the case with me. I've been putting it on for quite a while now, ever since I stopped playing Sunday League football 2 years ago. So I've decided to take advantage of the summer by going on a diet... and a pretty extreme one at that. My plan is to consume daily:
1 can of Tuna
1 apple
plenty of water
This is similar to Christian Bale's diet in preparation for his role in The Machinist - minus the chain-smoking. Also, I don't plan to lose as much weight as he did.
So far, I'm 45 minutes in with this new diet and I haven't yet noticed any difference... If I'm going to be honest I won't be expecting any difference for maybe 2 or 3 weeks, I just hope I do get somewhere. I shall keep you updated, of course.
Moving swiftly on, I saw Inception for the third time yesterday. It really is a film that gets better with every viewing. I'm contemplating at the moment (and have been doing for a week) whether it is my favourite film. It's definitely my favourite Christopher Nolan film, and boy does he know how to make them. Before viewing Inception, my two favourite films were: Fight Club, which I fell in love with instantly and the whole anarcho-primitivism concept; and American Psycho, which can be appropriate to quote in any and every situation. Incidentally, I have now seen Inception, Fight Club and American Psycho an equal number of times. Weird considering the first was released only a few weeks ago.
Anyway, enough of me going off on a tangent, all I have to say is: if you haven't seen Inception, go and see it. NOW!
I think I'll leave you all with my favourite Inception trailer.
That's a pretty hardcore diet. Good luck with that lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd Inception... EPIC. I've only seen it the once thought. Maybe it's time to go again... well I'll wait till orange Wednesdays, I'm not made of money.
Yeah, but I think I need to at least do some exercise if I'm gonna get anywhere. Whether I'll have the energy to is a different matter altogether.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, I've been every Wednesday since it's release. Luckily my cinema has a Sainsbury's underneath, so I can save money on popcorn and drinks too! It's definitely better on the second viewing so you should think it's even more EPIC. I'm 100% going to see it again next Wednesday as well.
